The course is comprised of 8 units with a total of 24 video-based lessons. The first unit covers the basic principles of effective writing and speaking. Each lesson has one quiz, one writing exercise, and one speaking exercise.
Participants are invited to submit their writing and speaking to the forums for feedback from other participants (in the case of self-study) or from a course tutor (according to purchase). The training comes with several additional valuable resources, such as a list of key vocabulary, key structures, key transitional phrases, and key phrasal verbs.
It will take from 24 to 72 hours to complete the course, depending on the level of your commitment to quality. Participants are welcome to repeat the course as many times as you wish during any 6-month period. The lessons learned will continue to deliver value for many years.
This course is designed for anybody with a lower-intermediate to advanced level of English who wants to improve their English communication skills for the IT sector. The central focus of the course is on effective writing and speaking.
Participants should have at least a B1 level of English according to the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages. If you do not have a B1 level, you will certainly profit from the course but it will be challenging. At the opposite end, participants with an advanced level of English, even native English speakers, can profit from this course.

Each video exercise includes a brief multiple-choice and true/false quiz to help you reinforce the learning and test your understanding of the basic vocabulary and concepts. Participants who wish to obtain a Certificate of Achievement from EISM must pass each of these quizzes with at least 70%. However, participants are allowed to take the quizzes as many times as necessary to pass.
Participants who purchase the "tutor" plan will be evaluated by a tutor, who will evaluate participants based on the standards of the European Common Framework of Reference for Languages. You can read more information about this framework at www.efrfl.eu
